Zara — Building AI-TEG's Own AI Agent, Not Just Teaching About One

Challenge

Prospective students, parents, and schools have questions about courses, admissions, and pricing at all hours, across two different channels — website and WhatsApp — with no dedicated support team and a real risk of inconsistent answers between the two.

Solution

AI-TEG built Zara: a single shared assistant — one system prompt, one knowledge base, one reasoning path — deployed on both the website chat widget and WhatsApp, so a visitor gets the same accurate answer regardless of channel.

Implementation

1. 1A governance-grade system prompt: explicit confidentiality rules, prompt-injection defenses, and a strict "never invent a course, price, or claim" policy.
2. 2A knowledge base compiled live from AI-TEG's own real course and program data, not a separately maintained script that can drift out of date.
3. 3WhatsApp voice-note support: incoming voice messages are transcribed to text before Zara answers, so the experience is consistent whether someone types or speaks.
4. 4A lead-capture tool: when someone shows real intent, Zara records their details and notifies AI-TEG's team immediately.
5. 5An urgent-message tool: genuinely alarming messages are escalated to a real person right away, separate from routine leads.

Evidence

• Live in production on both channels right now — this website's own chat widget, and AI-TEG's WhatsApp number.
• Built to a detailed, explicit internal security and confidentiality specification, not an off-the-shelf chatbot.
